I would give 0 starts if possible. You forfeit your "security deposit" the moment you sign your application form, even before you are presented with a lease. And they wont hold your prospective unit until you do. The clause that enables this is hidden under "accuracy" of all things. Scummy, shady, and unethical business practices. My apartment lobby has been taken over by the homeless . They have literally furnished the lobby to live in and they do drugs there. The main exits are constantly broken and I find myself trapped inside the building because the doors won’t open. There are garbage bags all over the building . The manager won’t do anything no matter how many times I contact her. And I can’t find the corporation email anywhere. This is getting very dangerous and this building needs help.

Told our building didn't have pests when asked. Found a cockroach in the first first week and a few more thereafter. $50 key replacements, non functional buzzer. Noisy apartment at night with the sorts that live in these apartments.

Horrible, horrible company!!!! Never do snow removal. It'd so bad Canada post has suspended our mail since Nov 19 its now January 6th. Resident Manager is an incompetent horrible man. I assume he's never run a residential complex before!!!!! Maintenance never done when requested. Mattresses by garbage bins have been there for over a month... garbage everywhere

I am in Hudson Arms on 116 street. It may just be building management but ours is absolutely terrible. Laundry facilities rarely work and you can expect to lose coins each time you run a load. Our heat has stopped working twice this winter and wasnt working for months when we first moved in. People will park in your stall and the parking lot is never cleared! There is a stranger overdosing in the building every few weeks. People have been smoking in the building, and dont get me started on bugs.

They are disorganized and hard to get a hold of but the apartments are clean and cheap. Above all they are honest and that is a refreshing experience! Very unlike other major rental companies.

If i could post no stars, I would I was supposed to move into a property of theirs in Edmonton, but upon move in day the apartment was entirely unsafe! Mould, destroyed walls, outlets out of the walls, and yet it was 'move in ready'. They were told they had to return my DD and first months rent, its been a month and I haven't received it and they won't return my calls either. They're a horrible company and I would advise against anyone renting with them.

Went to look at apartments and the agent was rushing us the entire time and they did not even give us the right address twice. These apartments that main street rents mostly are way overpriced for what you’re getting.

Websites should let people give half stars, but even that would be generous for mainStreet. Ive been renting with them for one month and theres already a bunch of problems. Water goes out all time. The fire alarms go off for no reason all the time. The hardwood was poorly put in and small cracks in the wood have already extended. Oh also dont expect any decent customer service cause the semi yearly property managers never answer their phones and dont seem to care when things arent going right.

They suck. Do not rent with them.

First of all, they require your damage deposit PRIOR to doing ANYTHING! Second of all, the sites are not very clean and have some undesirable individuals living in them. Given that you have to run through hoops, and what they offer, GO rent from a reliable and reputable private, or WELL MANAGED company. All I can say is they sure put a stop to kindness when I didnt rent from them and requested my DEPOSIT BACK. WELL I GUESS TOMORROW will tell if I get my money back!

DO NOT RENT FROM MAINSTREET! READ THE REVIEWS! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. The management is unresponsive to any and all requests and extremely rude when you call. They have a new resident manager every month. This is not even the worst of it... please read on. The buildings... (pics included) are not well kept, they have extreme bug problems with roaches and bed bugs, etc. The 5 other suites on our floor alone have collectively been fumigated approx. 20 times in the 8 mo

I would NEVER rent from mainstreet equity again. Look at all the reveiws online. Worst managed apartment Ive ever lived in.

This company is the most unprofessional renting company in Alberta. They change resident managers every month. Not to mention the units are infested with bed bugs. STAY AWAY

Do not ever rent from this company. I called to give my notice that i will have to move out was told I need to send and email for write a letter. I emailed my notice and asked to schedule a time for a walk through and to go over anything outstanding. Never heard back from them so I called after 2 days and no one returned my call. I ended up moving out and left the keys for them in the apartment. Still had not heard anything. 6 months later I get a call from a law firm saying i now owe $3000.

There apartments are bed bug infested. They fail to inform you before you sign the one year lease and when you try to call and inquire about it they give you the run around and tell you how its not their problem. Unreal, I never dealt with such absentminded people, and their landlord who is suppose to relay information to you keeps it to herself and tells you "I live in a more elite apartment" needless to say she is trying to say she is better than you. Words cannot express how horrible they are

Please don't rent here there's bed bugs problems everywhere and they do nothing about it so bad service ever .
