When Tracey Mori was planning her wedding, she struggled to think of fun games to play that would engage both her party and guests. “We had a lot of traditional wedding games,” Tracey remembers. “But it mostly involved us as a couple, some bridesmaids, groomsmen and family members. Many [guests] weren’t even able to watch because we had such a huge wedding. There were 50 tables – in the back, you’re not really seeing anything.”

So when Tracey's friend Freddy Mak told her about an idea he had for wedding games that incorporated guests’ mobile phones, Tracey was intrigued. “Everyone has a mobile phone these days,” she says. “Why wouldn’t we use it to make interactive wedding games where everyone can participate?” So Freddy and Tracey gathered friends and experts in sales, marketing, project management and web development and, in 2016, they launched QBooth.
