Hawkridge exceeded our expectations. We had a number of pieces of art reframed at Hawkridge when we moved houses and Dave’s exceptional talent and great taste gave new life to our existing art. David has framed a number of pieces for me including my own art work, posters and photographs and he always does an excellent job. I especially appreciate David's eye for detail as well as his careful craftsmanship. I often count on David's thoughtful suggestions about choices such as type of frame, matte etc. As well he always takes the time to discuss various framing options and costs involved.
David has framed a number of photographs for me over the years and has always done an excellent job. However, a week ago I had a rush job for a friend that had his photo very poorly framed. I reprinted it for him and called David to find out if he could turn in around in 24 hours. He did and the piece won an award! David is creative, artistic, meticulous, professional and reasonable, given the excellent quality of his work. I highly highly recommend him. He is personable and responsive, too.

A cousin recommended David and I have been dealing with him for several years. He is open to my ideas and preferences but he is always spot on with his advice and I have never been disappointed. I entrusted to him an original piece by a well known Quebec artist and I could not be happier with the result. He is extremely creative and professional and I am happy to recommend him to anyone needing framing done.
I brought in a stretched canvas painting to be framed. It had a delicate surface and needed to be handled carefully. Not only was it completely undamaged, but David took extra time to make the painting properly square so that it looked perfect in the frame. He had to wedge it and spent the extra time without charging me for the labour involved. I was really impressed with his care and perfectionism. The painting looks great in the frame he helped me choose and I have been going to bim for all my framing ever since. I also recommend him to anyone I know looking for a good framer.
Very poor. He didn't do what I asked him to do, but said trust me. He didn't listen to me!!!, the result was completely unacceptable. He said he would change it but I would be charged full price all over again. He says he is an artist and knows best. so as far as I am concerned I have a beautifully framed picture, that clashes with the paint colour in my new house.what a waste of money, I can't hang it anywhere but the basement!

We recently moved into the area and had many paintings that we needed to be framed. One set of paintings in particular were invaluable to me as one of my closest friends had painted them for me, however they had been mounted on foam board and were warping badly. Dave managed to rescue them beautifully and they now hang proudly in our dining room. He gave us great ideas/options for all the framing and he did all the work in 2 weeks.
