Yaletown Brewing Company was one of the first restaurants involved in the revitalization of Yaletown and the fact that they're still here has got to tell you something. They make good food and, since they are a brew pub, they make great beer. Like all the other Mark James Group restaurants they offer the cheap beer and pizza nights that my family and I enjoy so much but quite often we head here for all the other great items on the menu too! If you can't decide which beer you want to try ask the server for one of their tasting flights where you get four different beers to sample. The location is outstanding and they have a lounge on one side and restaurant on the other so if you just want drinks and appys after work they are a great spot to choose! Last time we were there I had the Jakarta bowl with lamb tenderloin in a soy sauce with peppers and it was outstanding, My folks were with us and they swore by the fish and chips as well. One other cool thing that Yaletown does is if there is a game on at Rogers Arena they offer shuttle service to the game. So go on down to Yaletown Brewing Company and check them out! Read more

Amazing experience. they accomodated us with our infant, took our stroller in the coat check, and made sure my allergies were attended to. They checked about 6 times to make sure I was ok and no item which I was allergic to didn't make it to my plate. They gave us a full banquette because we had our son with us. The food was good to above average and well cooked! tasty Chicken, and I special ordered melting cheese. Being a fan of inventive food, I will probably return to this location just for that but would definitely take a drive here also to satisfy my appetite for eye candy. We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right. I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good. I'm not a huge fan of the chicken garlic fried noodles as the pasta was thick, but I do appreciate how the noodles were a little crispy on the outside. Service can be slow but in general the servers I've had have always been nice and willing to help, but because it's often busy, it may take a little bit longer to get you what you need. This is my measuring-stick for good food in Vancouver. This is my awesomeness in a meal. I've been here twice. Both times for my birthday. Both times the waiting staff were wonderful (even bringing out a birthday cake with my name on it), but even if they weren't, I'd come back here for the food. This place is an indulgence - bare that in mind - you're not here to skimp with a salad, you're here to try amazing game done RIGHT. I've had the venison, and I've had the wild boar. My mom has tried the game hen (so I had some) and I can't remember what else. It was so good that I honestly thought I should take it into a room and be alone with it, maybe buy it a drink and tell it how pretty it was before devouring it. Tender, succulent, rich, decadent - I don't think there are enough adjectives to describe how good the food is here, my tummy just growled because I'm writing this review instead of getting myself to DF's ASAP. Honestly - the place is romantic - it's awesome for a candlelit anniversary dinner. The food is stupendous, and the service is excellent. Now you see why they're my measuring stick, non? Read more
